My work career began at the young age of seven, working alongside my dad and brother growing sweet corn on a few acres of family land. Every morning during corn season, we’d drive out to the fields, pick the corn, load the truck, and head to town to sell it until it was gone. That experience not only taught me the value of hard work, but it also marked the start of my investment career — my parents took me to meet an investment broker at the end of that first season. Around the same time, I began selling concessions at auctions. Our family would load a trailer with food and drinks, and I’d spend the day serving customers — often tossing a few hot dogs to my dog, Smokey, between sales. Those early years taught me that every customer matters. Every ear of corn and every hot dog sold symbolized how important each person is to success in business. I was raised in a real estate and auction family, constantly learning from my parents’ example. Looking back, I now realize how many of the values and business practices they instilled in me remain at the core of who I am today — only now enhanced by modern tools and technology.
After graduating from Sleepy Eye High School and Bethany College in Mankato, I made the decision to continue my family’s legacy in real estate and auctioneering. Today, I’m proud to work with Chad and Heartland Real Estate Services, developing new and innovative approaches to real estate marketing, including property videos and expanded use of social media. At the same time, Krenz Auctioneering, Inc. continues to thrive as we introduce new opportunities in online auctions and digital engagement.
Outside of business, I have a strong interest in politics and look forward to pursuing political ventures in the future. I’m also an avid Minnesota sports fan, following football, basketball, and baseball whenever I can. Travel, both throughout Minnesota and across the United States, is another passion of mine.
My father, a Vietnam veteran, taught me to appreciate the land and the blessings of living in such a beautiful country — a lesson that has deeply shaped who I am. From my early days observing the process of buying and selling properties to now guiding clients through their own real estate journeys, I’ve always valued honesty, integrity, and understanding. I promise to treat every client with the same respect and care I give to my own family — because to me, clients are family. My goals are to continue growing with Heartland Real Estate Services and Krenz Auctioneering, Inc., embracing innovation while honoring the traditions that built our success.
